Who We Are
The Data Analytics Center (DAC) team is a diverse group of specialists who bring deep expertise in bioinformatics, generative AI and machine learning, statistical analysis, image processing, high-performance computing, data management, and regulatory compliance, among other areas.
What We Do
The DAC supports researchers at every stage of a project on Research Computing platform—from drafting methodologies for grant proposals and ingesting data, to developing models and preparing manuscripts for conferences or journals—ensuring that high-performance computing resources are used effectively and efficiently. Our consultants provide personalized guidance and hands-on technical assistance, helping teams adopt the latest big data analytics methods and best practices.
How We Can Help
On-site expertise
When preparing your grant proposals, you can request funding to include a DAC specialist, showing that you have access to dedicated, on-site computational support. DAC members have expertise in a variety of specialized topics:
- AI/Deep Learning/Large Language Models
- Image processing
- Bioinformatics
- Text analysis
- And more
Custom workflows
DAC members can design and build analysis pipelines tailored to your research needs.
Advice on data compliance & IRB submissions
DAC members can provide guidance on data compliance requirements and help with the preparation and submission of IRB materials.
Grant proposal support
We can help you prepare data analysis plans, biosketches of DAC members, and letters of support.

How to Get Started With DAC Support
If you would like DAC assistance with a project, please email us at [email protected] describing your project and the support you require.
All services can be tailored in scope, cost, and time commitment to match your project’s requirements. Principal investigators can budget for DAC support in grant
proposals, where DAC members can be listed as key personnel.
Costs
Services Provided at No Charge
- Consultations (i.e., discussions that do not include hands-on work by DAC personnel)
- Basic collaborations (i.e., relatively simple tasks that take less than 20 hours of hands-on work by DAC personnel)
Services Provided for a Fee
- In-depth collaborations (i.e., hands-on work that that require significant effort—typically more than 20 hours work—by DAC personnel for the design and implementation of a computational solution)
Our Process
- Consultation | Generally, we start with a consultation to discuss project feasibility, the level of support from the DAC, and required deliverables.
- Review | DAC leadership will review the request and confirm our ability to provide the necessary support.
- Launch | A DAC team member will be assigned to the project. For an in-depth collaboration, we create a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) that outlines the support researchers can expect from the DAC, the technical tasks to be completed, the timeline, budget, team member percent effort, and the deliverables at the end of the project.
